Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON HAROLD WATSON It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gordon Watson on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at the Grace Hospital with his wife at his side. Gordon is survived by his wife Mary; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents John and Ann; sister Dorothy Jean Watson. Gordon was born October 30, 1923, in Winnipeg. After graduating from high school in Brandon, he worked with the Air Force for a few years followed by employment with the CN until he retired at the age of 65 years. He loved to travel with his wife. One of his best memories was their trip to Europe. Gordon loved sports, especially hockey and golf. He also enjoyed reading and doing jumble puzzles. Nothing was an effort if it was to help others. His first and lasting impression on those who came to know him was that he was truly a gentleman. Our sincere thanks to the staff at the Grace Hospital for their care and kindness shown to Gordon. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial service to be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. A private interment will be held at a later date. In memory of Gordon, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, The Heart and Stroke Building, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6. Remember him with a smile today, He was not one for tears Reflect instead on memories Of all the happy years. Recall to mind the way he spoke And all the things he said His strength, his stance, The way he walked Remember these instead. The good advice he'd give us His eyes that shone with laughter So much of him that never dies But lives on, ever after. He was a man of honesty Integrity and pride Important, then, the way he lived Not the way he died. If a tear should fall today Perhaps it shall be shed For the many years without him here That still lie far ahead. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 Broadway 783-7211
