NICHOLAS ARRON CHOKEN April 16, 2005 - June 5, 2007 It is with deep and profound sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and grandson, Nicholas Arron Choken, on June 5, 2007, at the very young age of two years. Nicholas was born on April 16, 2005, at the Portage General Hospital in Portage La Prairie, MB. Although we only had a short time with him, he was loved more than words can ever say. The memories will forever be cherished. Nicholas will now be able to eat all the bananas and cheerios that he wants (his favourite foods). Nicholas leaves to mourn his memory his loving parents Gordon and Melanie Choken; brothers, Brendan, Russell, Darius Choken, Shaun Maytwayashing and Paul Desjarlais; sister Emily Desjarlais; grandparents, Shirley Wilkinson (Kerri) and Jimmy Klyne; uncles, Leon (Shirley), John (Barbie), Ray (Rachel) and Chris Paul (Sam); aunts, Claudia (Orville), Linda, Myna (Larry) and Katie Rossiter; his special cousin Bobby Case. Nicholas was predeceased by his twin brother who died at birth; sister Erica Maytwayashing in March 2006; grandmother Lucy Choken; grandfather William Choken; uncles, Eddie (Jubble), Donald, Terrance, Kenneth, Steve and Richard Choken; and by his aunt Freda Lavalee. The wake service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at the Larry and Myna Monkman residence, Lake Manitoba. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lake Manitoba Apostolic Church with Jim Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Manitoba Cemetery. The Pallbearers will be: Jamie Maytwayashing, Jeremy Edwards, Daniel Choken, Vince Choken. The Honorary Pallbearers will be: All those who knew and loved little Nicholas.
