EVELINE KOPER It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear sister and aunt, Eveline Koper, on February 13, 2007 at the Concordia Hospital She will be sadly missed by her sister Edna Redisky of Red Lake, Ontario and her sister-in-law Irene Koper of Winnipeg. Also survived by nieces, Diane (Bob) Taylor, Marie (Brian) Korbaylo, Donalda Beresford and Beverly Bennett, and nephews, Ron, Gord (Darryl), Ray (Joy) Lorraine Finch, Alan (Marni) Patterson, Jim Redisky, Bill (Jean) Bennett with 19 great, 15 great-great and one great-great-great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Maria and Johannes Koper and her sisters and brothersin-law, Anne and Ben Finch, Mary and Pat Patterson, Nell and Bill Bennett, and Rudy Redisky; brother Joe Koper; and by nephews, Jack Finch, David and Gerald Koper, Dennis Redisky and Tom Beresford. Eveline was born December 21, 1915 and lived all of her life in Winnipeg, working for most of it at Samson and Shaen Custom Broker. She loved to travel, visiting family in Holland with her Dad several times as well as travelling to Spain, Portugal, New Zealand and Hawaii. Her last trip was with her best friend Elsie Popeil to England and Ireland. Eveline was a member of the Toast Mistress, 5 Pin Bowling League (Letter Carriers) and the Senior Recreational Lawn Bowling of St. John's Park where she made many good friends. She loved playing cards and Rummoli with family and a special group of long time girl friends. She made friends very easily as adults, and children were drawn to her. Eveline spent lots of time playing with the younger members of the family from ring around the rosy to board games. She attended many family celebrations as family meant a great deal to her. Eveline loved to read and she read her way through the local library (London Branch). In her spare time she liked to garden, do the daily crossword puzzles in the Sun and listen to the CBC radio. A memorial service for Eveline will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave. (Aubrey Street entrance).
