Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENCE KATHRYNE MATHESON (nee PROCTOR) Kay was born on November 3, 1928 and passed away on Friday, June 8, 2007 in Winnipeg. Kay was predeceased by her husband Kent Matheson in 1989. Kay and Kent were married in 1949 and raised three children in Yorkton, SK, namely Michael, Dean, and Nancy (Dale). She also leaves to mourn her passing seven grandchildren, Tyler, Preston, Kelly, T.J., Lee, Taylor, and Michael; two great-granddaughters; brothers-in-law Don and Ian (Eve), many nieces and nephews and very special friends, Patty and Bert Roukema and children, Stacey and Steve, Paul and Michelle, Jeff and their families. Kay was a happy person and she made many good friends and enjoyed participating in all of the activities of her church and service clubs like the Kinettes. Kay moved to Winnipeg with Kent in 1971 and she continued to be active in various social groups. She will be missed by her family and friends all across the country. Viewing will be held on Monday, June 11, 2007 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East at Navin Road. A farewell service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Entombment will be at Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kay's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of MB, 6 Donald St.,Winnipeg, MB., R3L 0K6.
