BIAGIO DELUCA Biagio DeLuca passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on June 8, 2007 in the loving warmth of the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital following a brave fight with cancer. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 46 years, Antonietta; son, Tony (Bretta); daughter Rosa (Greg); grandchildren, Brinton, Tauren, Jenessa and Alexandra, along with many nieces and nephews. Biagio is also survived by his sister Saveria Casoria of Vancouver, BC. Biagio was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Rosa DeLuca of Italy, his sister Giovanna DeLuca of Italy and his brother Franco DeLuca of Vancouver, BC. Biagio was born on March 1, 1931 in Cicciano, Italy. He came to Canada in 1956 to join his brother and sister. A few years after arriving to Canada he settled in Winnipeg where he worked, married and raised his family. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care, as well as the staff with home care. Special thank you to family and friends for their unwavering support and constant love during this difficult time. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue with viewing at 10:00 a.m. and service at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital.
