Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULAINE MARTHA PENNER May 21, 1946 June 10, 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt and great-aunt on June 10, 2007, at the age of 61. Julaine was born May 21, 1946, to Albert and Esther Penner at St. Boniface Hospital, in Winnipeg, MB. Julaine will be missed and forever remembered by her brothers, Wayne and Rodney (Sylvia); nephews, Craig (Lynette), Chad (Lorisa), Curt; great-nephew Zackary and great-nieces, Mikyla and Calla. She will also be remembered by many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Esther Penner. Julaine worked for many law offices throughout the years as a legal secretary, most recently for Darcy and Deacon in Winnipeg. Julaine had a passion for cooking, gardening and flowers. She loved spending time with her family, having picnics and gatherings. Julaine especially loved sleepovers with her great-nephew and nieces, with the morning breakfast ritual of bacon soldiers. Julaine spent many years volunteering for both the Mennonite Heritage Village Museum in Steinbach and PC Manitoba. I'M FREE Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path, God laid for me I took His hand when I heard Him call I turned my back and left you all. I could not stay another day To laugh and love, to work or play Tasks left undone must stay that way I had to leave at the dawn of Sunday. If my parting has left a void Fill it with some remembered joy; A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, A walk in the park, or a glance at the stars. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I've savored much, Good friends, a loved one's touch Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and share with me. God wanted me now, He set me free. - Author Unknown The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Bissonnette and the staff at Ste. Anne Hospital, for their exceptional care and support. Viewing and devotional will be held Tuesday, June 12 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 13 at 2:30 p.m. Both the viewing and funeral will take place at The Church of God in Christ Mennonite, three miles west off Hwy 12 on Greenland Road. Interment at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice, in memory of Julaine. Arrangements by: Birchwood Funeral Chapel 1-888-454-1030 or 1-204-346-1030
