GILLES PLANTE It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gilles, at the St. Boniface Hospital, on June 8, 2007, with his family by his side. Gilles will be lovingly remembered by Cécile, his wife of 26 years; his children, Janelle Krebs (Ronnie), Stéphane, and Alain, and the light of his life, his first grandchild, Caleb. He will also be missed by his father Wilfrid; his two brothers, Paul (Martha), and Antoine (Marie-Jeanne); his two sisters, Lisette Dupré (Ken), and Ginette Normandeau (Louis); his father-in-law Edmond Gagnon, as well as many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his mother Pauline in 1997 and by his mother-in-law Lucie Gagnon in 2006. Gilles was born in Rouyn-Noranda, Québec on September 30, 1953. He moved with his family to Winnipeg where he met and married Cécile on December 27, 1980. In 1981, they moved to Lorette where they raised their family amongst great neighbours. Gilles enjoyed driving. He was a talented mechanic, A Dodge Man . He loved and respected nature and had a real passion for fishing and hunting, but first and foremost, he loved to spend time with family and friends. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Armand Le Gal at the Notre Dame de Lorette Roman Catholic Church in Lorette, MB on Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. Viewing will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the church. Cremation will follow the service. Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later time in Green Acres Cemetery. Merci au Dr Patrick Fredette du Centre Medical Seine pour ses soins attentionés envers Gilles tout au long de sa maladie et à Roland Lanoie pour le service pastoral reçu au moment de son décès.
