EDITH EDNA PATTERSON 1913 - 2007 On June 10 Edna passed on to eternal rest, free of the pain and frustrations she experienced with her health in the past few years. To cherish her memory is her son Donald (Lynn); her two grandchildren, Christina and Kevin (Ardelle); her brothers, Douglas Park and Alex Park (Barbra); and nieces and nephews. Edna was predeceased by her parents; husband William; her sister Joan Thom; brother-in-law Henry Thom; and sister-in-law Marion Park. Edna was born in Winnipeg in 1913, the eldest child of Edith and James Park. She lived in Elmwood and attended Lord Selkirk schools. She worked at a variety of jobs including Eaton's until her marriage to William in 1942. She had one child: Donald in 1944. Edna's family would like to extend our appreciation to Deer Lodge Day Hospital for keeping on top of my mother's health issues and providing a weekly outing that she very much appreciated. Also the family would like to extend a very special Thanks to Kay, her neighbour, who was a guardian angel for keeping an eye on mother during my absence and for always being there for her. In addition, I would like to thank Cesne for her continuing support for mother. Our thanks to Grace Hospital and staff for the care mother received in her final days. Cremation has taken place and at her request there is to be no service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please make contributions in her name to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
