ALAN HARRISON March 9, 1941 - June 10, 2007 It is with heartache and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our lovely husband, father and grandfather Alan on June 10, 2007 at the Arborg and District Hospital. Alan is now at peace and pain free and is sitting in Heaven with his dad who he thought the world of. Alan leaves behind Jean, his wife and best friend of 41 years; his three children, Mark (Jeannette), Chris (Monique) and Jaki (John); his seven grandchildren, Ashley, Steven, Niki, Jamie, Charlotte, Ben and Abby; his mother Phylis; and his brother Brian. He was predeceased by his father Simon. Alan was born in a small village in England called Scrooby, March 9, 1941. He moved to Canada with his family on January 4, 1984. Alan was such a hard worker, he could not sit still for long and could always find a job that needed doing. He taught himself to weld at the age of 15. He spent many many hours welding and went on to build his own business. He loved spending time with his cattle and working in his garden where he always grew enough to feed an army. Alan never did anything in a small way! When he did take any down time he could be found sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee and doing crossword puzzles. Funeral service will take place Friday, June 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made to your favourite charity.
