Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER KOK MAN LAM Peter died peacefully on June 8, 2007 at Grace Hospice after a battle with cancer. Peter lived a fulfilling life. He was born on April 21, 1930 in Sun Wui, Guangdong, China. After graduating from University in physical education and an academic career in China, he joined his family in Hong Kong. He was baptized into the Anglican faith, taught school, coached soccer, and was a boy scout leader. In 1969, the family immigrated to Canada and lived in Gladstone, Gimli, and Winnipeg. He became an entrepreneur of restaurant businesses in Manitoba. Peter is survived by his wife Fung Ping; daughters, Leona Lau and Kim (Dr. Pollen) Yeung; sons, Victor and Dr. David Lam; grandchildren, Dr. Robin Lau and Carmen Lau, Yolanda and Giselle Yeung, Sena, Serena, and Jenna Lam; sisters, Kiu Sau Lam (Los Angeles) and Chiffon Lee; brother Yick Yuen Lam (Boston). He was predeceased by son-in-law Dr. Reginald Lau. Many heartfelt thanks go to the wonderful staff at the Victoria Hospital, Riverview Palliative Care, and Grace Hospice. Viewing and visitation will be held at Thomson In the Park , 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., also at the Thomson In the Park Funeral Home.
