MARTIN STAMLER Peacefully after a long illness, Martin Stamler passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Poseidon Care Centre. Martin will be lovingly remembered by his wife Olive; children, Jim (Carol), Chris (Tammy), Joan (Allan) and Janet; grandchildren, Dean (Samantha), Kyle (Lisa) and Jonas; sister Angela (Norman); sister-in-law Evelyn (Ian); as well as many nieces and nephews. Martin was predeceased by his parents Martin and Anna Stamler; and brother Henry. Martin cared very deeply about his family and his teaching career. He will be remembered by his many students and colleagues in Manitoba and Atikokan, Ontario. In retirement, he enjoyed his volunteer work as a senior's counsellor in Winnipeg and Kelowna, BC. Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint), followed by interment in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Martin's memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
