JAMES HUGH MACCOY Peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2007, James Hugh MacCoy was at last set free of his pain and suffering, surrounded by all that loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Jo-Anne, daughters, Melissa (Robert) and Victoria (Trevor), sons, Jeff (Martine) and John (Sara), two grandsons, Ty and Kayd, parents, Fran and Tim, Dennis and Eve Wood, sisters, Collen (Pat) and Corrine (Al), niece Kaitlyn, numerous aunts, uncles and friends. Jim grew up in Windsor Park, where he attended Frontenac and Pierre Radisson Schools. In 1972, he was hired on at CN Symington Yards where he worked his way up to Management and in 2005 took an early retirement. Throughout his career at the railway, he acquired many close friends who knew him as Mimsy. Jim enjoyed the many CN hockey tournaments that took place over the course of his career. He loved to brag about the numerous Grand Aggrigates that he won with his CN curling team. Not only did Jim participate in sports, he loved his NFL Sundays, especially his favourite team, The Dolphins. If it wasn't football season, it was hockey season, with the Boston Bruins being his team of choice. Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 16, 2007, between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. at Bellamy's Restaurant, 1-845 Dakota St. A private family service has already taken place. The entire family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital, Seven Oaks (Pansu Unit), Health Sciences Centre (Rehab), particularly the physiotherapy and the occupational therapy departments. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Health Sciences Centre Research Foundation, 800 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M4.
