MICHAEL CAPRI 1915 - 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather on June 9, 2007, at Concordia Hospital. He was predeceased by his wife Frances; parents Nicola and Maria Capri; sisters, Mary, Phil and Lucy; brothers, Tony and Joseph, brother and sister-in-law Albert and Violet Graham. Left to mourn his passing is his daughter Sandra and husband Sebastian Gallo of Calgary and son Donald and wife Alice; grandchildren, Troy (Valerie) Capri, Shelley (Raymond) Mohl, Scott (Carol) Gallo, Darcey Gallo and Derek Capri; and four great-grandchildren. Mike was employed at C.N.R. until 1950, then the G.M.P.P. Workers Int. Union until his retirement in 1972. In 1955 he was appointed to the U.I.C. appeal board and served for 25 years. He was also the first elected vice president of the Manitoba Federation of Labour. In 1973 Mike was appointed by the Manitoba Government to the Highways Traffic Board and promoted to Vice Chairman in 1975. After retirement he acted as an arbitrator for 11 unions. He was a past member of the Canadian Legion and the N.D.P. Rossmere Association. The family would like to express our thanks to Dr. D. Johnson, and the many homecare nurses and staff at Concordia Hospital. Cremation has taken place. As per Dad's wishes there will be no formal funeral service.
