Dad met and later married his lifelong partner, Rosie Korolyk on October 20, 1945. They later moved to Winnipeg where together they owned and operated the Press Grill Restaurant. Mom and Dad then moved to Petersfield in 1947 where they began farming. While farming, he worked at Westin Shops Railway in Winnipeg for five years. Besides farming, Dad's greatest joy was his grand-children who spent many weekends at the farm. Mom and Dad loved to travel every chance they got, which included visiting nearly every state in the U.S.A. Dad loved to play cards and also enjoyed playing horseshoes in the Petersfield Tournaments with his family members.
