KAY MCEACHERN (nee BUCHKO) June 9, 1928 - June 16, 2007 Peacefully, with family by her side, Kay passed away on June 16, 2007 at the Concordia General Hospital. Kay will be missed by her husband Bryan, children, Debbie (Mike), Brad (Ilona), Dale (Michelle), and grandchildren, Shannon, Alex, Eric, Joseph and Madeleine. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Mary and Helen, brother Stan, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She is predeceased by her parents, Peter and Tekla; sisters, Anne, Rose and brother Victor. Kay's door was always open to brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. Whether it was a meal, a brief visit, or an extended stay, Kay always had a smile, a hug and a kind word of comfort and support. In retirement Kay and Bryan enjoyed many years at the cottage in the Lac du Bonnet area. Mom spent many hours working in her garden, watching wildlife, Goldeye fishing and just enjoying time with friends and family. At Kay's request, cremation has taken place and a private family funeral service will be held. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. S. Thomas and the Staff of Concordia NW3. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Winnipeg Branch. Cry not for me, my heart is light, my pain is gone. I've loved you each and every one.
