DROBOT It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Carolyn, with her family by her side, on Sunday, June 17, 2007. Carolyn is survived by her husband Edward; daughters, Tracey (Larry) Watson and Shannon Drobot; son Chris (Michelle) Drobot; grandchildren, Dylan, Matt, Paige and Taylor; sister Lydia Viznaugh; brother Barry Young and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Elizabeth Young, and infant brother Angus. Carolyn was born July 16, 1944 in Selkirk, MB and remained there her entire life. She held an assortment of jobs, the last being a legal secretary / bookkeeper for 27 years at Kohaykewych Associates. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, knitting, travelling and animals. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren's accomplishments. Her love for her grandchildren extended to her having Granny's B B for them. Carolyn always thought of others before herself - right until the very end. Cremation and a private family interment have taken place. Family and friends are invited to an informal Come and Go Gathering on Thursday, June 21 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the St. Clements Church Hall, on St. Clements Drive, south of Selkirk. The family would like to give a special thanks to the M.I.C.U. staff at Health Sciences Centre for the care and compassion given to Carolyn and our family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 0C8.
