JOHN SINGLE It is with sadness the family announces the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, John Single, on June 19, 2007 at the age of 94, at Third Crossing Manor, Gladstone, MB. Dad is survived by his wife Irma of 65 years, (who passed away June 21, 2007); children, Judith (Bob Hunter), Howard (Lesley), Kenneth (Sandra), David (Marion), Deborah (Larry Fischer), and Randall (Marjorie); daughter-in-law Doreen, 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and expecting one more, and one great-great-grandchild; brother Alfred (Annie); sisters, Martha Sutherland, Lydia Mitchler, Erna Mitchler, Elsie (Herman) Langner, and Adeline (John) Mauthe and sister-in-law Iris Single. Dad was predeceased by his parents, son Ralph; grandson Jody; brothers, William, Edward and Reinhold; sisters, Minnie (Phillip) Dilk and Kay (Einar) Skaftfeld. Dad was raised in Waldersee, MB, born November 2, 1912 to Bernhard and Elizabeth Single. Funeral services will be Monday, June 25, 2007 at Plumas Zion Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Grass Community Foundation, Plumas Fund, Box 697, Gladstone, MB, R0J 0T0; Plumas Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Box 278, Plumas, MB, R0J 1P0, or to a charity of one's choice.
