Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALAN MACLEOD September 13, 1957 - June 17, 2007 The family would like to announce the sudden passing of Alan Akela - Hawkeye on Sunday, June 17, 2007. Alan was born in his beloved Prince Edward Island, the son of Kenneth and Edythe MacLeod and eldest brother to David, Jean, John and Robert, who were not only siblings but best friends throughout life. Alan always retained that down home charm and caring for friends and family, always being there in their time of need. In 1995 he spread his wings coming to Winnipeg to be with the love of his life, Ella, and sharing his love, passions, and wealth of knowledge and caring with their son, Justin, as well as with the Sears and Tanner families, several nieces and nephews, special friends Bonnie and Elsie, and the special people he worked with at IBM. Alan volunteered with Scouts Canada receiving several awards in his 23 years of service and with The Manitoba Ferret Association fulfilling his great love for children and animals. A memorial service will be held for Alan on Friday, June 22 at 1:30 p.m., Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside, Fort Garry. Interment will take place in Prince Edward Island. The family would like to thank all those exceptional people who were there and assisted in our time of need. In lieu of flowers a trust fund has been set up for his son Justin to further his education. Contributions can be made at any Civic Credit Union in Winnipeg. He does not sleep, he did not die He is everywhere, with the angels, and God on high.
