Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALVIN DUDECK 1936 - 2007 Suddenly on Sunday, June 17, 2007 Alvin passed away at the age of 71 at Concordia Hospital. Alvin was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Emily Dudeck; brothers, Mike, John, Walter, Stan, Bill, Julian, Joe; and sister Jean. Alvin leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 49 years, Adeline; daughters, Shelley (Wes) and Destiny (Rob); three grandchildren, Jennifer (Tiffany), Justin (Lacey), and Mathieu; also surviving are brothers, Edward, Leon, and Frank (Irene), and sisters, Mary, Bertha, and Adeline. He also leaves to mourn many other family members and countless friends. Alvin was born on March 17, 1936 in Garson, MB. He moved to Winnipeg in 1955. Alvin and Adeline were married in 1957 and lived the next 49 years at the same residence in East Kildonan. In October, Alvin and Adeline would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Alvin's career began in 1955 with the CPR. In the early 1970s he moved into the Wild Rice business with Northland, and he retired working for family at Paramount Windows. Alvin enjoyed playing many sports in his spare time. He was a very good hockey and baseball player. In fact, he played so much baseball that Adeline and the other wives were known as the baseball widows. Alvin enjoyed life and spent many summers vacationing with his family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2007 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. 338-7111. Family viewing will be from 12:00 until 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be his grandson Justin Richard; nephews, Jeff Dudeck, Brad Dudeck, Kevin Dudeck, Chris Dudeck and nephew-in-law Mark Van Wyck. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation on Alvin's behalf.
