ROMAN (RON) SIRANT

Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROMAN (RON) SIRANT It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our Husband, Father and Grandfather, Roman Sirant. Ron went to the Lord on Tuesday, June 19, 2007. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 51 years, Georgina; daughters, Debra Waluk (Jim), Donna Ouimet (Paul), and Diana Miles (Greg); his five grandchildren, Melody Waluk, Brigette and Alix Ouimet, Amanda and Victoria Miles; brother Bill Sirant, and sister Anne Mormul plus many extended family and friends. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Pauline Sirant; brothers, Michael, Alec, and sister Mary. He was born on June 21, 1931 in Winnipeg, MB. He worked for the C.N. Railway for 36 years as a car-man and in his own words, received the Golden Handshake . In 1988 he and his lovely wife moved to Summerland, BC to enjoy their retirement. Shortly thereafter all his children followed his lead and moved to British Columbia. Many happy memories were made there and will be cherished. Ron was a proud member of Branch 26 Royal Canadian Legion and A.N.A.F. Veterans Club. A funeral service honouring his life will be held at First Lutheran Church, 4091 Lakeshore Drive, Kelowna BC, Friday, June 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at Branch 26, Royal Canadian Legion. We live on in the lives of those who love us, We live in the hearts of those we love, As long as our name is remembered We are never truly gone.
