WILLIAM (BILL) BUCHKO July 27, 1925 - June 20, 2007 It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother William Buchko at the Victoria General Hospital on Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife and soul mate of 52 years Zita; daughter Roxane (Ken) Lundgren; granddaughter Brita and Anna of Creighton, SK; twin brother Steve Buchko and sister Mary Deegan; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents, Anna and Mathew Buchko. Bill was born in Winnipeg on July 27, 1925 and lived in the North End all of his life and was a life time member of Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Church. Bill enjoyed reading, classical music, all types of sports and travelling extensively. Bill worked in the food industry as a warehouse supervisor, until his retirement. Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday, June 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 965 Boyd Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Father Volodymyr Bashutskyy officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Buchko, Terry Deegan, Alex Buchko, Bill Trush, Ken Lungren, and Larry Trush.
