Richard and I lived together for a year when he came out from Winnipeg. Rick and I were both Canadians who lived in the same house with 2 Americans. We had some great times. I still remember the time Cal and I dropped a smoke bomb at a party that was keeping us up late before an important game. Rick being the gentleman he was, went into the party to save the girls. When he found out the story he let out a big laugh and said, "I coughed up green smoke for 3 days." I also took a psychology class with him where we did a lot of talking and sharing of ideas. Rick was a deep man, a passionate man, a good man, and definitely a reactionary man. He strongly reacted to what he believed was a sense of right. RIP Koot. I miss you.
