VERDA EILEEN LAGIMODIERE (nee PLOUFFE) November 8, 1933 June 21, 2007 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Verda Eileen Lagimodiere on June 21, 2007, age of 73, at the Victoria General Hospital. Verda is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Henry; their children, Linda (Ray), Larry, Bob (Lynette), Kim, Tracey, Darcey; their three grandchildren, Melody (Leo), Derek and Lindsay, and great-granddaughter Nyla. Also survived by brother Ted (Isabelle); nephew Terry (Val), and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives. She was predeceased by her parents, Bertha and Bon, as well as two brothers, Charlie and Dan; two sisters, Margaret and Kay, and her beloved dog, Charlie. Verda was born and grew up in Fort Garry, where she met and married Henry and together raised their six kids. Mom enjoyed socializing with her many friends at the Fort Garry Legion #90 where she was a longtime member. She enjoyed curling for many years, her Tuesday and Thursday card games and later in life loved watching all types of sports on TV. Mom looked forward to her trips to Grand Forks where she enjoyed playing bingo and shopping. Mom loved our regular Sunday visits and cherished the times the whole family could gather together. Our Texas Hold'em Sundays will never be the same. The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff on the 5th floor and intensive care unit for their excellent care and compassion they provided our wife, mother and grandmother. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will occur at a later date. A celebration of Verda's life will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fort Garry Legion # 90, 1125 Pembina Highway.
