ODILE JEANNE EVELINE LUSSIER (nee LESAGE) August 25, 1921 - June 21, 2007. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Martial (deceased 1994), Odile leaves to mourn her children, Doris Holmes, Bertrand (Cheryl), Ronald (Lorraine), Hélène, Normand (Florida), Marina (Terry Halligan) and grandchildren, Norma, Donald, Lara, Nancy, Leanne, Joel, Chantal, Rhonda, Marsha, Liam and Ailis and great-grandchildren, Myles, McKenzie, and Savannah. She also leaves to mourn her sister Annette Sowrey; her brothers, Romeo (Denise) Lesage and Roland Lesage, many nieces, nephews and friends. Odile was born in Cardinal, MB and married Martial Lussier on June 12, 1945. They farmed in St. Leon until 1952 when they bought the family farm in Margaret, MB where they resided for 42 years. Odile was passionate about life and all that it entailed, whether it was gardening, quilting, square dancing, playing cards, or baking her famous homemade bread and cinnamon rolls. All who knew her experienced her kindness, generosity and love of humanity. We love you Mom. You are in our hearts forever . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Odile to The Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9, Leprosy Relief Canada, 1805 Sauvé West, Office 305, Montreal, Quebec, H4N 3H4 or a charity of your choice. Prayers will be held Monday, June 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street. Viewing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Felix-de-Valois Church in Dunrea, Manitoba with Father Patrick Morand, JCD officiating. Viewing will take place at 12:30 p.m. until time of Mass. Burial will follow at St. Felix-de-Valois Parish Cemetery.
