MARIE-LOUISE LANGLOIS Peacefully, on Friday, June 22, 2007, Marie-Louise Langlois passed away at the Foyer Valade in St. Vital at the age of 96 years. Marie-Louise was the 11th of 12 children born to Albina and Adélard Ethier on July 30, 1910. She was predeceased by all of her siblings and by her two husbands, Ernest Caron and Leonard Langlois. She leaves to mourn her passing her four daughters, Rena (Bernie Plischke), Blanche Caron, Lucille Morrison and Irène (Michel Gagnon); her two sons, Edward (Audrey) and Léo (Iris) Langlois; as well as 25 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Marie-Louise spent over 30 years teaching in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. She took pride in telling some of her teaching stories. For many years, we enjoyed her cooking and baking. She was very involved with her crafts and spent many hours making afghans, quilts and Angels (which we will always cherish) until a stroke took away her ability to read and focus. At the age of 80, she won the grand aggregate prize for her quilts and crafts at the Red River Ex. Her greatest worry was for some members of her family who were not involved enough with their God. She enjoyed a special devotion to Holy Mary and was upset to see the Rosary so neglected. She spent her last years praying for everyone. As a last request, she wished to see her whole family prepare for their own Salvation. The family extends their thanks to the staff at the Foyer Valade for the care they have provided. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Miséricorde Roman Catholic Church in Ile-des-Chênes, Manitoba, on Wednesday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. Father Edmond Baril will celebrate the mass. Interment will take place in the Ile-des-Chênes Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie-Louise's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3G 0S6. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
