PETER CIMARNO 1927 - 2007 On Sunday, June 24, 2007, Peter Cimarno, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at his home at the age of 80 years. Besides his loving wife Betty, of 56 years, he is survived by his son Peter (Betty); daughter Judy (George); two grandchildren, Brett (Kristina) and Kristy (Eugene); four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Carter, MacKenzie and Danika. He also leaves to mourn his sister Jean; brothers, Alex and Frank, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Peter was predeceased by his parents John and Kay; sisters, Anna, Nell and Kay; brothers, Harry, John and Nick. Peter was born and raised in Prawda, MB and spent most of his life in Winnipeg. He worked for Westfair Foods for 35 years. Peter was an avid sports fan and especially loved golfing, fishing and curling. In his retirement years he loved to spend time at Winnipeg Beach with his family. He had a very full life and his pride and joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the people at Palliative Care, especially the nurses, TamieLee and Michelle for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Flowers gratefully declined; if friends so desire donations in Peter's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Palliative Care Program.
