DONALD FRASER With a great deal of sadness and love, we announce the passing of Donald Fraser, aged 63, whom quietly succumbed at Lake of the Woods Hospital on Saturday, June 23, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 42 years, Donna; sons, Barry (Robin), Blaine (Tracy); daughter Marion; grandchildren, Steven, Megan and Jadon; brother William; sisters, Gayle and Roberta; numerous brother- and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Don's passion for driving became apparent at a young age when he built his first go-cart at 13. He moved on to race cars as a teenager and then on to trucking for his father, and eventually trucking for himself. He shared his love and knowledge of fishing with his family. Don also enjoyed building and flying radio controlled model airplanes. He was a proud and avid member of the Lake of the Woods Aeromodelers. Dogs were Donnie's life . . . wherever you saw him, his dog was close at hand. Cremation has taken place and at Don's request a private family interment will follow. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lake of the Woods Hospital, 21 Sylvan Street West, Kenora, Ontario, or CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue.
