BEN NEUFELD 1925 - 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ben Neufeld, beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Ben leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 53 years, Anne; daughter Karen; sons, Gord (Sher) and Kelvin; grandchildren, Melissa, Kim, Mark, Ashlei, Ronalei, Karlei, Tynessa, Tae, MooYeon Amber and Cassidy. He is survived by one brother, seven sisters and many nieces and nephews. Ben was predeceased by one grandson (Ryan), and two brothers. Ben was born in Horndean, Manitoba in August 1925 to the late John and Anna Neufeld. In 1953 he married Anne Hiebert and shortly thereafter they moved to Winnipeg. He was employed at Standard Machine Works for 33 years until his retirement in 1991. Dad was involved in various musical groups, playing his mandolin at many nursing homes and missions, as well as active in his home church Evangel Chapel. On Saturday, June 23, 2007, while preparing to do what he loved best serving his Lord by playing his mandolin at Union Gospel Mission, Dad was called home. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Bethel Community Church, 430 Lakewood Blvd. at Bishop Grandin, Winnipeg, with viewing prior to the service.
