SAMUEL (SAM) WERBOWESKI Peacefully, on Sunday, June 24, 2007, Samuel Werboweski passed away at the Poseidon Care Centre at the age of 95 years. Samuel (Mr. Sam) will be sadly missed by his daughter Joan Mendella; grandchild Vincent (Diana) Mendella; great-grandchildren, Tyler Samuel Mendella and Jessie Hunter Mendella; also, he will be missed by sisters, Nellie Lesack, Helen Wakewich and Bessie Michaluk; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Maria (Minnie); sisters, Ann, Doris, Jessie, Mary and Tillie; brothers, Matt, Nick, Peter and Jack. Samuel (Mr. Sam) was born on December 10, 1911, in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Gerard Church. Prayers will said on Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 8:15 p.m. at St. Gerard Roman Catholic Church, 45 Foster St. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 29, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with Br. Pierre Wood, O.F.M., Cap. and Rev. Fr. Maurice Jeanneau presiding. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
