Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST HOUSTON (JUMBO) August 16, 1935 June 26, 2007 After a lengthy battle with cancer, we regret to announce the passing of our dear father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Ernest was predeceased by his loving wife Alice Houston (nee Fontain); his parents, Alice and Joseph Houston; his brothers, Chit Chit Man and Johnny; his sister Doris Houston. He is survived by his 12 children, Jerry, Clark (Angie), Mark, Lionel (Heather), Phil (Cathy), Joe (Miriam), Sharon (Betson), Darlene (Vince), Wanda (Wayne), Trina (Richard), Linda (Chris), Barb (Daniel); his brothers, Joe (Iris), David (Louise), Eddie (Mary), Martin, Frankie, and one sister Verna Mann. He has 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his special friend Lydia. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Trinity, one of dad's nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital, for helping the family through this difficult time. You are an Angel . We also want to express our gratitude to dad's homecare workers and nurses for all their commitment and compassion. You made a difference in dad's life. Prayers will be held on Thursday, June 28 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 29 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Fort Alexander, MB. Interment to follow in Fort Alexander. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

i'll always miss my grandfather. he was the number 1 .. i'd always jump around on him he'd always play with me give me money .. he's like my second father i love him so much an just wish i can hear his voice again an his touch.. i lost him when i was about 12 or 13 .. it was the saddest moment of my life i never thought i'd be going through this at such a young age... before he had passed i sat on the side of his bed an kissed him an held his hand an told him everything's going to be okay i was reading him a poem i made an cried to him an told him i loved him so much i knew he felt my hurt it's like he was waitting for a nice goodbye an that was it .. i lost my grandpa the next day .. i miss him everyday i have a video of him before he passed away i can't hear his voice it just brings tears to my eyes ... i love you grandpa erny i miss you so much....... - Posted by: brianne (granddaughter) on: Dec 12, 2012
