SHAUN BROSSEAU (nee HRUDEN) On June 10, 2007, with her family by her side, Shaun Brosseau of St. Paul, Alberta, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 49 years. Shaun was born in Winnipeg and grew up in St. Andrews. She moved west to Brooks, Alberta, and Calgary before settling in Brosseau and then St. Paul, Alberta. Shaun worked as a payroll administrator and will be remembered as a free spirit, an independent thinker and straight to the point about everything. Much time and boundless energy was devoted to volunteering for the Special Olympics, the St. Paul and District Lions Club, and Blood Donor Clinics. Her enthusiasm for life will be sadly missed by the many hearts she touched and the family she left behind. Shaun will be sadly missed by her mother Thelma Hruden of Selkirk; brothers, Garth of Selkirk and Kim of Winnipeg; two nephews and one niece, Kristopher, Rebecca and Spencer of Selkirk. She was predeceased by her father Stephen Hruden in 1995. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Gilbart's Funeral Home in Selkirk with Fr. Dado Parrenas officiating, with interment of ashes at St. Clements Cemetery following the service. A luncheon will then take place at the Selkirk Legion, Eveline Street, Selkirk. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Lions Foundation of Canada, Guide Dogs, care of Box 425, St. Paul, AB T0A 3A0, or Special Olympics, 200 Main St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4M2, two of Shaun's favourite charities. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Nostalgia brought me to this page, it was a long time coming. The picture of Shaun here, taken on before a Halloween evening out. Too soon the flower faces and is gone. Shaun is that flower, forever remembered, sadly missed. - Posted by: Donna Todd (friend and previous room mate) on: Oct 26, 2013
