EDWARD LIONEL PINETTE 1951 - 2007 It is with great sorrow and heartache that we announce the passing of Eddie on Monday, June 18, 2007, at the age of 55 years at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre. Eddie was predeceased by his loving son Stephen in September of 1994; his father Lionel in March of 1996; his mother Grace in March of 2001; and his nephew Beau Brunel in June of 2004. He will be missed by his loving wife and best friend Sheryl; his daughter Kristine (Thorr) Erlendson and granddaughters, Lyric and Sadie of Eddystone; his son Tim (fiancee Ashley) of Winnipeg; his sister Joan (Russell) Simmons of Makinak; his brother Alan (Debbie) Pinette of Ste. Rose du Lac; his in-laws, Gudjon and Rita Olafson of Ste. Rose du Lac, his sisters-in-law, Rae Flower (Dale) of Dauphin, Cindy Gallinger (Gerry) of Elkford, BC, and Tracy Olafson of Winnipeg, his brothers-in-law, Blair Olafson (Debbie) and Neil Olafson (Michelle) of The Narrows, Jeff Olafson of Winnipeg, Roy Flower of the Narrows and Allan Brunel of Fernie, BC; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. A graveside service was held on Thursday, June 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ste. Rose Cemetery. Pastor Howard Burnie officiated. Joan Simmons gave the eulogy. Active pallbearers were Robert Tucker, Ernie Tucker, Guy Tardiff, Don Masson, Danny Chaput and Gary Sydor. All of Eddie's friends were to consider themselves as honorary pallbearers. Members of the Ste. Rose Fire Department formed the honour guard. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in memory of Eddie to the Firefighter's Burn Fund or to CancerCare Manitoba.
