MARGARET WEST With sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and nana, Margaret Elizabeth West, on Wednesday, June 27, 2007. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Sidney and her daughter Margo in 1999. She is survived by her daughter Sonia; granddaughter Leanne (Kirk), grandson Michael, granddaughter Kerry; and great-grandchildren, Dana, Ryan and Devin. Margaret was born and raised in St. John, New Brunswick, married Sidney West and raised her two daughters. She moved to Winnipeg in 1980 to be closer to her daughters. In later years she enjoyed seeing her great-grandchildren and hearing of their accomplishments with school or seeing them dancing. Margaret loved animals, especially cats, and enjoyed telling stories about her old pets. Margaret loved ice cream and would have a big smile when you told her you would take her for ice cream. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 4 at Kildonan United Church, 187 Kilbride Avenue, at 11:00 a.m. The family wishes to thank the staff of 2 East at Oakview Place for all their care and compassion.
