ARMIN LEHN ***CORRECTION*** With his family at his side, Armin passed away after recently being diagnosed with cancer. Left to remember him are Susana Lehn and their children Helena (David) Grantham; son Paeta; and granddaughter Ellie Lynn Grantham. Armin was predeceased by parents, Lydia and Georg. Armin was born in Chortitza, Ukraine in July of 1940. He lived his childhood in Rhumannsfelden, Bayern and the family immigrated to Winnipeg in 1949. He attended Daniel McIntyre Collegiate continuing his education at the University of Manitoba. Armin retired as a Machinist from Bristol Aerospace in 2001. He could always be found, book in hand, and with a Go-Board by his side contemplating his next move. Armin had a life long interest in music, art, and culture of all kinds. He was most comfortable when in touch with nature and was always able to relate and converse with everyone regardless of status or background. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the homecare staff and the nurses at Riverview Health Centre for their constant care and attention. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. In accordance with Armin's wishes he will be buried beside by his parents. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, RM ON1160, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB or Wi Wabigooni School, 360 Ross Ave., (204) 957-7988. Please accept our sincere condolences and prayers as you remember Armin and celebrate his life. Although it's been many years since we have had contact, as my cousin he holds a place not only in our extended family but also in our hearts as a man who was dearly loved.
