IRENE HRYNICK On June 30, 2007 Irene passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home. Left to cherish her memory are her children and grandchildren, Debbie (Rick Lynch)-Alison, David Hrynick (Nicky)-Michelle, Daniel and Stephen, Dale Rempel-Liana and Tyler. Irene is also survived by her sister Diane Trafiak (Alex); brothers, Walter (Florence), Don (Gwen), Ed (Sophie), and numerous nephews and nieces. Irene was predeceased by her husband William (1972), and two daughters in infancy, her parents, Mike and Anne Turko; sister Sylvia Dell, and her longtime companion John. Irene was born in Alonsa, Manitoba on September 26, 1935. She always had fond memories of her life growing up on the farm in Alonsa and the family pet deer (Bambi). Irene's working life was spent in the food service industry and she had many fond memories working for Salisbury House and C.P. Express. Irene was happiest cooking for a family gathering. Her hobbies included crocheting (which she learned at a young age using a bobbie pin as her hook). In retirement her passion was for knitting, creating countless slippers, pillows and afghans. She enjoyed attending craft sales. Her week was not complete until she had participated in a few games of BINGO. When spring arrived Irene was always in search of the perfect mushroom patch - when found it was a guarded secret. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Diane and Alex Trafiak, Steve Onyschak, Walter Chura and Rene Toupin for their visits which always brightened Mom's day. Thank you also to the caregivers at Seven Oaks Hospital. Our sincere thanks to 4U8 staff especially Jackie, Hyacinth, Candyce and Josie for the wonderful care extended Irene during her lengthy hospital stay. Thank you to the staff of the Maples Personal Care Home for the wonderful care extended to Irene during her stay. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Friday, July 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Irene's memory to a charity of your choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
