ELLI DORIS GRZEGORZEWSKI Peacefully on the evening of Sunday, July 1, 2007, Elli passed away at the Personal Care Home in Lac du Bonnet. Elli was born in Hamburg, Germany, on April 13, 1921. On July 18, 1942, she married Fritz Werner Grzegorzewski. They immigrated to Canada in 1954 with their two children Peter and Brigitte and settled in Winnipeg. It was in Winnipeg that they learned about Jehovah God. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses she was active in talking to others about the Kingdom Hope where Peace and everlasting life was a reality to her until her death. In 1979 they moved to the Lac du Bonnet area where their children and grandchildren lived. In 1979 they went to Georgetown, Ontario, to work on the Branch Office of Jehovah's Witnesses, returning back to Lac du Bonnet in the spring of 1981. Fritz and Elli loved to travel and spent many weeks each year in Germany and Hawaii. In 1987 their daughter and family moved to Cantley, Quebec, and they would spend several weeks visiting there. Elli is survived by her son Peter (Donna) Grzegorzewski and children, Gary; Denny (Julia) of Pinawa; and Corinne of Winnipeg; her daughter Brigitte (Willie) Kravchenko of Perth, Ontario, and children, Mark and sons, Andrew and Daniel; Lisa (Patrick) Roy; Michael (Vivian) Kravchenko; and Tina (Leslie) Amenu, all of Ottawa; her sister-in-law Hilda Grzegorzewski and family of Winnipeg; and her sister Helga (Fritz) Tunnemann and family of Australia. She was predeceased by her husband Fritz in 1994; and brother Hans in 1986. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Personal Care Home who so lovingly cared for Elli for the past two and one half years. Funeral services for Elli will be held on Friday, July 6 at 1:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB, with Richard Farquhar officiating. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make donations in her memory to Watch Tower, Box 4100, Georgetown, ON L7G 4Y4.
