CLIFFORD ARNOLD SINCLAIR (SPUD) January 4, 1936 - July 1, 2007 On Sunday, July 1, 2007 at the Selkirk and District General Hospital, Clifford passed away peacefully. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Harold and Beatrice Sinclair; brothers, Richard, Stanley, Lawrence (Rusty) Sinclair; sisters, Gladys Kent, Rachel Raven, Olive Prince, Grace Haugerud, Pearl Bunn and Dorothy Starr. Uncle was affectionately known as Spud to family, friends and all who knew him. As a young man he looked forward to the change in seasons so he could enjoy his passion for duck hunting, trapping, fishing and harvesting wild rice. Many of his nephews and cousins still hold fond memories of those times spent with uncle outdoors. He worked as a guide for several years in various places in Ontario. In his later years he loved to reminisce with friends and several of his nephews who enjoyed his company. Uncle loved old time country music by Hank Snow, Hank Williams Sr., Kitty Wells and others of that era and even admired how they dressed. The large extended family go far beyond those listed above, but include families of Sophia and Gordon Passage, Pearl and Bob Olson, Grace and John Sinclair and many more too numerous to mention. The Pallbearers will be Steve Fontaine, Herman (Chopper) Schultz, Kelly Kent, Richard Sinclair, Kelly Starr, and Lawrence Grisdale. A wake will be held Thursday, July 5, 2007 beginning at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Friday, July 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be at the Community Hall on the Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, Scanterbury, Manitoba.
