Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJULIA ISABEL TANASYCHUK (nee Bonasiuk) Peacefully, on Saturday, June 30, 2007 Julia passed away surrounded by her family at the Grace Hospital at the age of 76 years. Remaining to forever cherish Julia's memory are her husband Michael of 57 years of marriage; daughters Carol (Ron) Wells of Brandon, MB, Gail (Allan) Nordstrom of Kenora, ON, Gwen (Darrell) Uchach of St. Albert, AB; son Michael (Paula) of Winnipeg; her beloved grandchildren, Amanda, Brittany, Ashley, Michael, Ryan, Ciara and Kelsey; sister Frances (Alf) Briese of Winnipeg as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Antonia; sister Stella and brother Peter. Julia was born April 1, 1931 in Bield, MB. She lived her younger years in Shortdale, MB and moved to Winnipeg in her late teens where she met Michael. They were married on October 22, 1949. Julia enjoyed bowling, knitting, cooking, playing cards and especially having her grandchildren around. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, July 4 at 7:00 p.m., in St. Paul The Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 5 at 10:30 a.m., also in the Church with Rev. Fr. Mark Tarrant presiding. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Cemetery. Thank you to the staff of 3 North of the Grace Hospital for the kindness and compassion you gave to Julia and her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julia's memory to the Heart Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the Grace Hospital Auxiliary, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3J 3M7.
