ANNE HUCALUK Anne Hucaluk, formerly of Winnipegosis, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Red River Personal Care Home in Selkirk, MB. Anne will be sadly missed by children: Nellie (Tony) Lefko of Oakbank, MB, Annie Uskoski of Nanaimo, BC, Janet Gilmore of Calgary, Bill (Dorothy) Hucaluk of Winnipeg and Alice (Dave) Pacholuk of Lockport, MB. She will also missed by 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are her sisters: Caroline Hucaluk of Winnipegosis and Pearl Makowski of Vancouver, and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family. Anne was predeceased by her husband Alex in 1991; daughter Mary Solomon; sons-in-law, Steve Solomon, Harry Uskoski and Ray Gilmore; daughter-in-law Rose Hucaluk; brothers, Onofrey, Nick and Alex Procyshyn, and sisters, Lena Nykoluk, Nellie Zwarich, Kay Sedor and Mary Coma. Anne was born in Winnipegosis and educated at Cork Cliff School. She farmed with her parents until she married her husband Alex in 1929. Alex and Anne farmed together in the Winnipegosis district until they retired in 1971. After Alex died, Anne moved to St. George's Place in Dauphin. Anne was an active member of the Ascension Ukrainian Catholic Church in Winnipegosis. She enjoyed gardening, the farm life and entertaining family and friends. Family life was very important to Anne, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Prayers will be on Thursday, July 5 at 7:00 p.m. from the Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Chapel. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by Fr. Yaroslav Strukhalyak on Friday, July 6 at 10:00 a.m. from the Ascension Ukrainian Catholic Church in Winnipegosis. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Anne's memory to a charity of one's choice. Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Services 204-638-4110
