KATHERINE ANGELINE (KAY) MCLEMAN (nee HARACHKA) Katherine Angeline (Kay) McLeman, beloved Baba, passed away in Victoria, BC, on July 2, 2007, at the age of 91. She will be greatly missed by family and many friends. Katherine was predeceased by her son Barrie Ankersen; her husband William McLeman; ex-husband Erhardt Ankersen; and son-in-law Scott Johnson. She is survived by her family, daughter Karen Ankersen; son Donald Ankersen; granddaughters, Angele, Michelle, Donna Mae; and many other family members too numerous to mention. Gratitude is expressed by Karen and Angele to the staff and volunteers at Mount St. Mary Hospital and to Dr. Yue for the care they provided. A celebration of Katherine's life is to take place on the day she celebrated her birthday: July 17, 2007, at her daughter's home in Victoria, BC (1858 San Pedro Avenue), at 2:00 p.m. A memorial service is to be planned for family and friends in Winnipeg at a later date. Donations can be made in Katherine McLeman's memory to the Queen Alexandra Foundation (2400 Arbutus Road, Victoria, BC, V8N 1V7) in Trust for Research into Rett Syndrome.
