ELSIE THERESA NICHOLSON (nee MILLER) Peacefully in her sleep we announce the passing on July 4, 2007 of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Elsie Nicholson, age 93. Elsie was predeceased by her loving husband Doug Nicholson, who died on April 17, 1982 at the age of 69. Elsie will lovingly and always be remembered by her sons, Archie and Danny; granddaughters, Elizabeth and Pam; great-granddaughters, Jennifer, Chantel, Callie; great-grandson Garret; sister-in-law Kay Miller and goddaughter Maureen Grantham, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Mom lived her whole life in Winnipeg. Elsie was very caring and always thoughtful to others. Church was always a big' part of Mom's life. She always loved going to Rainbow Stage and Folklorama. She could outdance young or old and loved her music. Everyone got a hug from Mom. Elsie was predeceased by her mother and father, Mary and Henry; brothers, Henry, David, Alex and Albert; sisters, Hilda and Violet. Special thanks to the staff of Vista Park Lodge for the loving care they gave to Mom. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1541 St. Mary's Rd. The Rev. James Fritsche will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brian Malowanchuk, Gerald Kimacovich, Roger Harel, Bill Mason, Rob Boily and Jared Marks. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1541 St. Mary's Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 2V8. Phone: 256-5548.
