JOHN KOROTASH Peacefully with family by his side on July 4, 2007, John passed away at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 85 years. John is survived by children, Shari and Wayne; grandchildren, Paul, Jamie (Jennifer), Cory (Tash), Craig and Jason; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Morgan and Aiden; other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Lorna in 1992; son Bill; an infant sister and his parents. John was born November 28, 1921 in Rosa, Manitoba and worked his family farm after returning from the Army. He worked for the City of Winnipeg for many years until his retirement. John loved hunting, baseball, bowling and bingo. He was an avid crib player and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and friends. John had a great sense of humour. The family would like to thank the home care aides that cared for John over the past few years. Also thanks to Dr. Gorski and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion. Prayers will be held on Sunday, July 8 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Rosa, MB. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
