Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYVETTE MARIE DUCHARME After suffering silently for several years, surrounded by family, it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and Sister, Yvette Marie Ducharme, aged 78 years, on July 2, 2007. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by her children Louise Ferris (Doug), Lorraine Clifford (Lyle) and Roger Ducharme (Jackie) of Australia, grandchildren Lisa and Karen Ferris, Nicole and Scott Clifford and Natalie Ducharme, sisters Marie Bouchard, Alice Fontaine, Cecile Stephen, Denise Hamel, brother Robert Dacquay (Rachel), sisters-in-law Laura Dacquay, Leona Ducharme and Anne Ducharme as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. Yvette was predeceased by her husband Norman in 1980, by her parents Joe and Marie-Louise Dacquay, her brother Albert and her sister Lucienne. Yvette was born in St. Lucipin on May 10, 1929. She met the love of her life and married Norman Ducharme in 1950. In the years to follow she became a loving mother to her three children and later Yvette worked at the St. Boniface Hospital, Tache School, St. Boniface School Division and several years for the City of Winnipeg from which she retired in 1989. Mom's greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She always found time to spend with each of her children and their families and always made certain that she told them how much she loved them. Mom was a kind, generous and a compassionate person who gave much time to visiting sick family and friends. Yvette will be remembered for her great faith in the Lord, her sense of humour and the joy and laughter that she brought at family gatherings. She always remembered everyone's birthday and made it a point to call with good wishes. Mom will be fondly remembered for her homemade bread and famous chip dip. Special thanks to her private nurse and niece, Sandy, who spent many hours supporting Mom and her family. Also special thanks for the love and support received from her siblings and the nursing staff on 7AW. A celebration of Yvette's life will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Family Church located at 778 Archibald Street. A private family burial of the ashes will be held in the St. Boniface Cemetery following the funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Cancer Research) or Manitoba Special Olympics.
