JOHN EDWARD WENDT Now At Peace with Jesus It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of John Edward Wendt, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend on July 5, 2007 at the age of 53. John leaves to mourn his passing his wife Carla, his children, Teresa (Doug), Kristie (Mark), Lori (Jamie), Amythyst and John; his grandchildren, Michael, Braedan, Matthew, Justin, Prue, Paige, Skyla, and Shae; his sisters, Maryanne, Joan, and Adele (Richard); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many special friends. Born in Winnipeg on February 11, 1954, John lived a full life with many exciting experiences. John enjoyed spending time with his family, playing guitar, singing in his church band and song writing. John was diagnosed with liver cancer in May of this year, and although he knew he had a great fight ahead of him he did not stop to complain at any time. Funeral Services will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2007 at Gordon King Memorial United Church, 127 Cobourg Avenue. Interment on Tuesday at Brookside Cemetery. Reception will be announced at the funeral. The family would like to thank the doctors, and nurses on the GH3 ward of the HSC who helped to make John's final days as comfortable and uplifting as they could.
