GARY LLOYD BAILEY 1940 2007 On July 6, 2007 Gary Lloyd Bailey passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a sudden, short and very courageous battle with cancer. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his wife Valerie and sons, Sean (Lisa) and Corey; two grandchildren, Matthew and Keanna; brothers, Bill (Terry), Kirk (Carol), Don (Barbara) and sisters, Joan McKenzie (Barry), Sharon Terleski (Ron), Beverly Thomas (Bruce), June Ohta (Ron) and sister-in-law Lorraine Bailey. He will also be remembered by his Aunts Joyce and Bev as well as numerous nieces and nephews who had a special place in his heart. Gary was predeceased by his father Garnet; mother Kay and his brother Gordon. Gary enjoyed both his lengthy career with CNR and his subsequent years at Canada Post. Gary's love of life was expressed every day and was evident by his ever present smile as he moved about his busy life. Gary recognized and appreciated hard work, humility and modesty, traits that were exhibited by him everyday of his life. The family would like to express a special thank you to Seven Oaks ICU and Health Sciences Center MICU staffs for their compassionate care and their extreme efforts to make his last days comfortable. A celebration of Gary's life will be held on Thursday July 12, 2007 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made in Gary's memory to the charity of one's choice.
