KEVIN JOHN HOSKINS It is with deep sadness our family announces the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and brother-in-law, Kevin John Hoskins, on July 6, 2007 at his residence at the age of 42 years. Kevin leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his wife Wendy; daughters, Haleigh and Carly; father Thomas (Lee); brother Tom (Lori) and their children, (Ty and Brandon); mother-in-law (Arlene Corneau); three sisters-in-law, (Tracie, Kelley, Sherry); three brothers-in-law, (Chad, Jason, Colin); numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends including dog Gordie. Kevin was predeceased by his mother Bernice in 1991. Kevin was born in Toronto on January 12, 1965 and lived in Brampton, Ontario until 1979 when he and his family moved to the Moncton, NB area where they resided until 1987 before their move to Winnipeg. Kevin was employed at Maxim International Trucks for the last 4 years. He thoroughly enjoyed his work and his colleagues. Subsequent to this Kevin was employed at Fort Garry Industries and Wes-T-Rans Company. Kevin loved to tinker, build and tackle new projects. In recent years, after the completion of the new garage, he could be found working on the black Nissan, replacing the brakes on someone's vehicle and this spring, cleaning and polishing the new boat or working with his father restoring the Jaguar. Kevin possessed a strong passion for camping; he and Wendy spent the last 8 seasons at the West Hawk Lake seasonal campground near his family and friends. He was always full of life and the outdoor activities at the lake, fellow campers and the campfires afforded him much pleasure. As a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Transcona Branch, Kevin enjoyed numerous legion activities and comradery. A public viewing will be held 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 11 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway #1 East Navin Road. An evening memorial service with burial to follow will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 12, 2007. Tea and coffee will be served at the Transcona Legion, 117 Regent Avenue East following the service and burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an educational trust fund for Kevin's daughters, Carly and Haleigh, at any Casera Credit Union Branch In Trust for Haleigh and Carly Hoskins . The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Paramedics, the Police Department and to friends and relatives for their many acts of kindness.
