LINDA JEAN TURNER 1941 - 2007 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Partner, Daughter, Mother, Grandmother (Nana) and Friend on July 6 from cancer at the age of 65 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her partner Mr. Leslie Karakas; mother Verna Whiteside of Killarney, MB; son Rick (Tamara) Turner of Calgary, AB; daughter Sheri (Kesh) Turner and grandchildren, Evan and Rylan Ramnarace- the special joys of her life. She will also be remembered by extended family Michael (Tami) Karakas, Glenn Karakas, Marilyn, Joe, Andrea and Steven Taferner. She was predeceased by her father Allan Whiteside in 1995. Linda was born at Holmfield, MB and lived on the family farm until beginning Nurse Training at St. Boniface General Hospital in 1959. After graduation, Linda worked full or part time in various fields of nursing until retiring in 2001. Linda had many interests, especially badminton, tennis, gardening and bridge. A special passion was being able to travel to a warm climate in the winter and traveling in general. Through these activities she acquired many enduring friendships. The family would like to express their gratitude to all friends and family that visited her in the many hours at home and in the Hospital and brought Mom thoughtful gifts and flowers. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at her request. Family and friends are invited to a reception at the house on Wednesday July 11, 2007 to share remembrances and joys. You were my second Mom and I miss you very much. I always think about you and your thoughts you shared with me about your Garden. Your smile was infectious especially when you looked at your Grandchildren. You are always in my thoughts and I mistakenly see you everywhere. We all loved you very much. - Posted by: Kesh Ramnarace (Son-in-law) on: Feb 29, 2020
