SERAFINA CIANFLONE (nee CEFALI) Peacefully, on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the St. Boniface Hospital with her family by her side, Serafina Cianflone passed away at the age of 84. She is predeceased by her husband Luigi Cianflone; sister Angela Migliaccio and brother Pietro (Pina) Cefali. Serafina is survived by her children, Maria (Antonio) Falvo, Frank (Anna) Cianflone and grandchildren, Anthony and Sara-Marie Falvo and Alicia Cianflone; three sisters, Elena (Antonio) Foderaro, Maria Muraca and Antonietta Belantoni and numerous nieces and nephews. Serafina was born June 2, 1923 in Cortale, Italy. She and Luigi Cianflone were married on April 15, 1950. Serafina came to Canada 3 years later to join her husband. Serafina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She took great passion in her home and garden, though the greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Nonna Serafina inspired us with every story she shared. Through these cherished moments we were given the gift of joy, wisdom and most of all love. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue with Rev. Sam Argenziano. Celebrant Entombment will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley Street. Pallbearers will be grandson Anthony Falvo; nephews, Battista Foderaro, Joe Foderaro, Joe Cefali, Joe Migliaccio, Mark Cordileone and honourary, Neal Medeiros.
