TRAIAN (TIM) BRENZEN We are saddened to announce that Traian Brenzen has passed away on July 8, 2007, at Concordia Place Nursing Home, aged 87 years. Traian was predeceased by his wife Viola, his parents Onofrei and Sanfira Brenzen, his only sister, and all four brothers. He is survived by his brother-in-law Jim; sister-in-law Doreen and sister-in-law Elsie Brenzen as well as numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Traian (Tim) was born in 1920 in the Rural Municipality of Boulton, Manitoba, on section and township 24, range 27. A veteran of the Second World War, with active service in England, France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. Prior to the start of the war he was employed as a farm labourer, and upon returning to civilian life farming was ruled out. Favouring the outdoors he became interested in forestry work. First as a cutter of timber and later in the supervisor department, employed by the Kimberly Clark of Canada Pulp and Paper Co. in Long Lac, Ont. Ontario, made him think of the indoors and in 1961 he acquired a Macleod's Dealership which he operated as a retailer in the district of Red Lake, Ontario, for a period of 10 and one half years. In 1972 he sold the business and retired. We would like to thank the staff at Concordia Place D-2 and Brenda and Terry Holunga. Pallbearers will be James Brenzen, Pat Toderian, Carl Holunga, Wayne Dudar, Kelly Taylor, and Wayne Holunga. Prayers will be said July 11 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Romanian Orthodox Church, 103 Furby St., with Fr. Victor Malanca officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Cropo Funeral Chapel 586-8044
