Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST (BUNNY) WATERMAN It is with great sorrow the family announces the passing of Ernest (Bunny) Waterman, aged 75 years, of Selkirk, peacefully at home in the early morning of July 8, 2007. Bunny will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years, Eleanor; daughters, Gaylene (Jeff) and Darlene (Blake); son Darrell; grandchildren, Jackie (Robb), Brett, Cassie, Jarret and Travis, and great-grandchildren, Thane, Elijah, Uri, Zur and Creed. He was predeceased by his grandson Dusty; brothers, Charlie, Reggie, and Bobby; sisters, Marjorie, Harriet, Beverley and Jean, and his parents, Charles and Jenny. He is survived by his only brother Tom (Barb); sisters-in-law, Lynne, Leona and Eleanore; brother-in-law Lefty; special family Minota (George), Keith (Bernice), Bev, Donna and Patsy, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Dad was born in Selkirk on June 14, 1932. He was employed at the Manitoba Rolling Mills from 1955 until retiring in 1993. He enjoyed visits with his family and friends, feeding the birds, hunting, and trips to the Shooting Star. He also loved to garden and work around the yard usually with his pet cockatiel Cheeky Boy on his shoulder. Bunny had a great sense of humour accompanied with an infectious hearty laugh. He enjoyed life to the fullest and yet was always sensitive to the needs of others. He enjoyed teasing the children and was always happy. He was never negative and was against violence, one of his favourite sayings was keep the peace . A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christ Church Anglican, Selkirk with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in the St. Clements Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bunny's memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6.
